Dublin, Texas is a rural community of almost 3,700 people, located on the rolling grassy plains of West Central Texas.
The economy of Dublin is ag-based and Erath County is consistently among the top milk producers in the state.
Dublin, by proclamation of the Texas House of Representatives, is the official Irish Capital of Texas. It is also the birthplace of bottled Dr. Pepper and home of Dublin Bottling Works, established in 1891.
Major tourist attractions are the community's other three museums: Ben Hogan Museum, which tells the story of the child, the golfer, and the club manufacturer; the Dublin Historical Museum, with vignettes of how we lived, worked, served and worshipped; and the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum, which features the World Championship Rodeo of the 40s and 50s when Gene Autry and Everett Colborn were owners.
